Our mission is to serve as a supportive group of qualified ministers and counsellors assisting those who are in need of support, whether it be regarding a personal matter, a marriage or job issue, or a spiritual concern and to be available to assist during times of emergency.
Mark Fidler joined the Sheriff’s Chaplaincy in 2000 and became the Senior Chaplain in 2014. He provides oversight to all aspects of the chaplaincy including 8 chaplains, over 150 jail volunteers, and all religious programming at the Jail and Community Corrections facilities. He also serves as the pastor of a local church in Hamilton County. He and his wife, Michele, have 3 grown children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Daniel Hester joined the Sheriff’s Chaplaincy in 2023 and serves as the staff chaplain for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. He provides spiritual support and guidance to the employees at the Sheriff’s Office which includes Correction Officers, support staff, administration staff, and operations officers as well as the HamCo 911 dispatchers. Daniel has the privilege of ministering to the residents of Hamilton County during difficult times in their lives by providing comfort and support at serious injury or death notifications. He and his wife Rhonda have 5 children.
