The Chaplain’s Office is located in the Administrative wing of the Sheriff’s Office & Adult Detention
Spiritual Support in Times of Need.
Chaplains provide Spiritual and Emotional Support for all of our Officers and Employees.
Annual Jr. Law Enforcement Academy
Every June, the Chaplaincy sponsors the Chaplain Tom Burton Junior Law Enforcement Academy for children from 4 to 18 years of age.
Juvenile Services
The Chaplaincy provides spiritual support services to all juveniles in our facility
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Officers
Road Chaplains ride along with Officers and assist them in the field for death and serious illness/injury notifications.
National Day of Prayer.
On the 1st Thursday each May, the Chaplaincy Sponsors the National Day of Prayer Event at the old Courthouse in Noblesville.
Jail Bookin and Holding Area
We provide support for Corrections Officers and their families. Corrections Officers provide support and assistance to our Chaplains and volunteers while in the Jail Facility.
Support Services
The Chaplaincy Is Available to Everyone in Hamilton County.
* We often provide transportation home for inmates when they are released.
* Members of the public can call upon our Chaplains to assist in doing funeral services.
* When called upon, we make hospital visits to local hospitals for family members of Officers, employees, citizens of Hamilton County, and jail inmates.
Hamilton County 9-1-1 Dispatch Center
Chaplains are available to our Dispatchers and their families.
Quarterly Chaplaincy Newsletter
We publish a Quarterly Newsletter to Inform the Public and the Churches in Hamilton County with current information on the Chaplaincy.
Men’s and Women’s Baptisms – May, 2018
In May, 2018, The Sheriff’s Chaplaincy Baptized 27 Women and 18 Men.
This Represented over 10% of our Jail Population.
